Christopher P. Chroniak, Ph.D.
Director of The Insight Center

Chris Chroniak is a licensed clinical psychologist with forty years of clinical experience. He received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. Dr. Chroniak specializes in integrating mindfulness into his work as an individual and couples therapist. He has completed advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, as well as Yoga Chicago's yoga teacher's training program. Dr. Chroniak is one of the most experienced and active MBSR instructors in the Midwest Region. He has taught the MBSR Program and the Graduate MBSR Program for the past twenty-nine years in hospitals, clinics, corporate settings, and other locations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Karen Rambo Chroniak, Ph.D.

Karen Chroniak is a licensed clinical psychologist with 32 years of clinical experience. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. She has worked in both community and educational settings, including the counseling centers at Lake Forest College, the University of Notre Dame, and Chicago State University. Dr. Chroniak's areas of specialization include young adult transitions, depression, and women's issues such as body image, sexual victimization, and assertiveness. She has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in university settings and to women dealing with breast cancer.
